Difficulty: Beginner ◉
Length: 2.5 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 550 feet
Dog Friendly: Yes
Trailhead coordinates (copy + paste): 39.0407, -107.0654
Directions: Follow the coordinates from Crested Butte past Gothic, then about 15 miles up Schofield Pass Road. This road is rough and on the edge of high drop-offs much of the way, so it's best for trucks and off-road vehicles. There is a parking area about 1.25 miles from the falls— the road is too rocky and rough for cars past this point. From here, walk on the road until you reach the falls.
The long, scenic drive up the canyon and short hike down the road will bring you to this popular off-roading and cliff jumping spot. Though difficult to access, the waterfall is gorgeous and the journey is half of the fun. Even if you don't take the leap, this day will be one to remember.
